Virtual Laboratory : FIR Laser

The Far Infrared (FIR) laser operates from 36 - 1223 micrometers and can be combined with optical spectroscopic systems to perform measurements such as optical absorption, reflectivity and the new technique of Far InfraRed Modulated PhotoLuminescence (FIRM-PL).

This Far InfraRed (FIR) Laser was designed and built in the Clarendon Laboratory.

Cyclotron Resonance can also be studied using the 50T pulsed magnetic field magnets.
