The Far Infrared (FIR) laser operates from 36 to 1223 micrometers and can be combined with optical spectroscopic systems to perform measurements such as optical absorption, reflectivity and the new technique of Far InfraRed Modulated PhotoLuminescence (FIRM-PL).
